Lush Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter | Chelsea Posts Beauty Review

 Another Lush instalment!
Despite it's name, Lush's Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter can be used on any areas of dry skin such as the knees, elbows, heels, hands, nails and of course the cuticles.

I don't necessarily suffer from dry cuticles, but I do suffer from dry, cracked heels and chapped hands! I've previously tried Lush's Helping Hands Cream, this worked wonderfully although it did have an odd Playdough scent, so now is the time to see how well Lemony Flutter works...

For £6.25 you receive a black tub filled with 50g of product and this is available to purchase at Lush. It may not seem like a lot of product to some, however you genuinely only need to use the smallest amount each time you apply this butter as it is very thick and moisturising.
'' This cream is made to a very old-fashioned, traditional formula. It is a beeswax emulsion and uses thick oils and butters and very little water all skillfully put together. It is the lost art of traditional cream making – and we think it gives a high quality cream that makes the oils easily available for the skin to take up. Sometimes it is wise to take lessons from history. ''

This product is true to its name, as this is a thick, yellow butter cream that sinks slowly into the area it is applied to. It also has a very strong lemony scent (No surprises), if dislike scents then this may not be for you as the scent does linger on the skin for quite a while after application. Personally, I love this scent! So if you adore fruity smells, this is for you.

If you're using this on the whole of your hands (not just cuticles or nails), I don't suggest using this before you are going to touch any screens, foods or anything of that nature as this does take a while to sink in and you may transfer residue onto those items!

I suggest using this butter on your hands before bed time to avoid coming into contact with daily items! This does not stain or mark clothing items, so don't be afraid to touch your bed sheets! Also, I love applying a thick layer of this butter over my feet and popping some socks on to let it really sink in - I'm left with incredibly soft tootsies afterwards.
As you can see you need to scoop the product from the tub for each use, so this may not be suitable for those whom are heavily hygiene concious or those who are travelling as you will most definitely need clean hands for every scoop to keep your buttery goodness clean!

This is a fab, multi purpose product for dry skin on your body (I don't suggest applying this on your face!), that's packed full of moisturising oils and has a lemony scent that will brighten up any day! As for cuticles, I prefer using this as an overnight hand/foot moisturiser and less is more when applying the product so this will last you a very long time.
